We are Olga and Eder. We currently live in a small town called Mollerussa, located in the western part of Catalonia (Spain).

We love to travel, to know new countries by the hand of local people who immerse us in different cultures. Then of course our story starts planning a trip.

In January of 2018, when we were looking for a location for our next adventure, a web page called www.workaway.info crossed our destiny to change our lives irretrievably. We turned all upside down, from looking for a vacation to looking for a volunteer project where to invest our vacations. That change of direction made the project to come up. A project with specific coordinates and as protagonists the most good, humble, supportive and incredible people we have ever known, the stage was Uganda and the stars, its people.

Once we made all the contacts we decided to get involved more personally, initiating various ideas to raise funds to invest in their reality.

We called the project Cheer Up Uganda, because the meaning of this expression represents literally what we were going to do, give encouragement to an entire community by sending them a clear message of solidarity, ours and from all the people who participated in the collections.

There are many of us who believe that a slightly better world is still possible. As someone sang one day, "You may say I'm a dreamer but I'm not the only one".
